Angel - Remember Failure Is Success

 Failure occurs everyday, in school, jobs, housework, and within families. It is unavoidable, irritating and causes pessimism.

While the thought of flinging your hands in the air and walking away is all too appealing, take a second to connect with the people who have been there and survived.

Mickey Mouse creator Walt Disney dropped out of school at a young age in a failed attempt at joining the army. One of his earlier ventures, Laugh-o-Gram Studios, went bankrupt due to his lack of ability to run a successful business. He was once fired from a Missouri newspaper for “not being creative enough.” Yet today, The genius behind Disney studios is responsible for generations of childhood memories and dreams. From Snow White to Frozen, Disney will continue to entertain the world for generations to come. The logic behind this is simple: “We don’t look backwards for very long. This quote by retired basketball legend Michael Jordan in a Nike advertisement speaks for itself. It would be an easy misconception that Jordan’s basketball skills revolve around natural talent. In fact, in his earlier years,  basketball coaches had trouble looking past the fact that Jordan didn’t reach the minimum height. It was years of effort, practice, and failure that made the star we know today.

Angel's story

 On a Sunny day at 6:00am awoke a girl named Oliver Smith. The reason why she woke up was because it was her 10th birthday! She was so excited she woke up with a smile, for the first time! She ran quickly to her two brothers' room. First she went to Lukah’s room and started screaming. Lukah woke up quickly and said “Happy Birthday!” She said “thank you” really fast and started running as fast as a cheetah to her other brother's room. “Elijah!” she repeated 3 more times. After Lukah hit him with a pillow he woke up. He held a frown on his face and stared at Lukah, while he looked at Oliver with a big smile as he said “happy birthday.” 

They ran down stairs to the smell of pancakes. “Delicious!” Oliver said as running down the stairs. “What a surprise!” shouted Elijah when he saw Dad making the breakfast as the mum provided different options of beverages. ( Juice, Water, Iced tea and hot chocolate ) Of course they all picked hot chocolate as there were marshmallows inside. ( their favourite )  Their mom handed their ipads to the kids. Oliver started watching her favourite movie Tiana as the Lukah and Elijah shared an ipad and watched spiderman! They devoured the pancakes as if there were vacuums. 

After breakfast they had a scavenger hunt, the best part about it was that there was a special prize at the end if you get past the riddles! They couldn’t wait so before even two they ran up and down the stairs every two minutes. After half an hour they all found it. Oliver got an iphone 13 while Elijah got three v bucks gift cards. As Lukah got something he really wanted in a long time! It was an anime poster filled with naruto characters. He screamed like a girl and went to hang it up quickly. He was so amazed that he couldn’t stop talking about it.

Later on Oliver had a football game and was waiting for it for two weeks. They dropped her off two hours before because they were selling free hotdogs! She ate two hotdogs with ketchup and mustard. They started warming up by running side to side with cones. When the game started she already scored the first goal. As it went on Oliver scored half of the points then something wrong happened. The ball hit her stomach so hard ( due to the opponents goal keeper kick ) The brothers ran straight away to her when they saw her on the ground crying in pain. The brothers were only twelve years old at that time. Lukah screamed at the goalkeeper that she's lucky that she's a girl or else something toxic would happen.

The mum and dad called the ambulance. The doctors asked “what did she eat?” As the mum and dad replied with a “hotdog.” The doctor told her parents that the food wasn’t cooked properly. They tried to go back to the soccer field where the hotdog stand was but there was no one there. But there was the goal keeper. Lukah ran to her and said sorry. She said it was alright and she’s just happy that nothing serious happened between them two. Lukah went back to find the hotdog stand a few roads down. He stared and froze and if a horror movie was on. But it was even worse! He was close to a dog with a pocket knife! Now he regrets having the hotdog. Then he realized it was a HOT DOG! A real life dog went in his mouth! He just stood there and puked!

While the man with the knife was approaching Lukah puking. The police backup were right behind him and told the man “drop your weapons” or anything that could murder or hurt anyone. As he was handcuffed and put in the car he said something that still haunts Lukah from this day on.  The man said “ this isn’t over!” As he laughed like a crazy psycho looking at Lukah with red eyes. After hearing the news saying that the man was a prisoner, escaped and stayed outdoors for two weeks.

Lukah was happy that he saw his parents and siblings okay. Oliver took a quick shower and put on warm clothes. As she was walking down the stairs she smelt food cooking. She was so hungry that she couldn’t wait, she rushed down the stairs and heard them singing “happy birthday.” She was so excited and hungry at the same time . She made her wish and cut her cake. It was her favourite cake, red velvet cake. She was so hungry she went straight to the steak and rice. She started to eat so fast and asked for a second! It was like she was Matt Stonie! She then saw a fruit salad and started digging into it.

She said “thank you” to her brothers and parents for a beautiful and great day.

 Yeah my name’s Angel and I am a Tomboy, have so much joy. I’m the biggest brain in the world… Wait, don't involve Albert Einstein yea I know he’s an expert. Well hey nice to meet you, how are you? I was born on February the 19th 2012 only 9 years old and I’m already everyone’s lil teddy. They see me crying yo then I get some money yo… I’m kinda lazy, crazy and some think I’m a sweet lil daisy. Yeah well you got that whole thing wrong yea. Well the truth is: Yes I am lazy sometimes crazy not a sweet daisy, bro I ain’t a lil crybaby. Well maybe. I am a shorty kinda sporty wait isn’t Mr Naidoo like I don’t know 40? Imma nerd actually the third. Ilaise’s a nerd. Andy’s a simp.  Wait, what am I? Oh yea I’m big brain!!! Imma pieces, the best sign to ever be made if I ever see your sign they just gon fade away. I like megalodons and mosasaurus! The most dangerous sea animal in the world but they went extinct like 2 billion years ago. I’m so annoying even ask Ilaise. Tried pulling down her hoodie.  Let’s face it, failure is inevitable. We can’t go through life without failure. However what we do with failure depends on how we interpret it. “Failure is success with progress”. _ said by Albert Einstein one of the smartest person to ever exist. What does this tell you? *pause for 3 seconds. That before he was a genius, he failed and he embraced it. Today, I will be talking about how we should embrace failure and not fear it.

The greatest lesson in life is failure. You know why? Because life is full of failures and challenges. Obstacles that will change you. They teach you to do better. To better yourself and give you room to improve. You can either take failure and let it win or you can turn it around and beat failure. Overcome all the difficulties and show failure who the real boss is. Take Oprah Winfrey as an example. Oprah was born into a work-poverty life so all her life she has had to prove herself. Fast forward, fresh out of journalism school and fresh with ideas, her producer at the end of her job pulled her aside and said “you’re unfit for television. “ The words “YOU ARE UNFIT FOR TELEVISION” was said to one of the most well known hosts today. Words that she would never make it in the hosting industry. Imagine telling your mother “you’re unfit to be a mother”.

Angel - Online or School? Which one do you prefer?

 I think online learning is better than attending classes at school 

Because also while we are doing our work we can listen to music. (sometimes the music could be a distraction) Sometimes online people don’t join. We hardly do anything when there are only a small number of children. I don’t really like talking to people face-to-face. That is one reason why I like online better than actual school. The second reason why I like online better than school is: I can also chew gum while doing my online work/homework. But sometimes if my mic is on and the teacher is talking (and I’m chewing gum) then other people won’t be able to hear the teacher so sometimes chewing gum can also be a distraction. ( BUT I LOVE GUM ) Sometimes I just like staying in my bed and I don’t have to get up, I can just stay in bed while doing my work/online calls.

If I won a gold medal at the olympic games, I would encourage other kids. I would tell my life story how I got it and how hard I trained to get to the point where I am at right now. I would post something to encourage other people so they wouldn’t give up on their dream. I would travel to other countries to tell others about my story and to never stop believing in themselves. Outside

Outside in the cold breeze where I sneeze, we come upon a lovely grown tree. The hot sun is rising over the flowers as I realized that it has overpowered. The beautiful sky is like the ocean, it’s really deep. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The sun shines in my eyes so I put on my sunglasses to avoid the hot sky. Upon the night sky stars rise like the bright lights. The green lime grass makes me climb a tree! Lime, lime, lime. I spend so much time outside!
